On 03/12/2009 “Association Nova Zagora” nominated their favourites for 2009. Our colleague Georgi Petkov was nominated for outstanding contributions to the spiritual development of Nova Zagora.

 On 04.11.2009 at 14.30 a press conference took place at Primary school “Lyuben Karavelov” to mark the anniversary of the patron of the school Karavelov. Speeches were made by Mr. Tsvetanov - Principal of the school, Mrs. P. Kalina, Mrs. Koleva, Mrs. R. Pisarova, and Mr. P. Panayotov. Mr. Tsvetanov spoke about life and work of Karavelov. Every year on November 6 to 7 celebrations of Karavelov are held in Koprivshtitsa attended by people from across the country. Teachers announced and talked about events held by students. Exhibition of children's drawings revealed how children perceive and describe in colours and shapes their school. Our writers expressed their imagination, children spontaneity and showed talent. In their lyrical miniatures school was described with warm and grateful words. Mrs. Kalina told how students from grade 4 b met their friend - the eagle Kalin, adopted it and how they were included in an international, noble cause. There will be a presentation of this European scale activity and publication of a book. The speech of Mr. Panayotov was not least in importance. He is the coach of the school team and he teaches Physical Education. Sporting achievements of our graduates are numerous and evoke satisfaction.

The conference ended with high spirits because of the little lyrical confession of the students from 3 and 4 grades "To school with love”.

   A joint project with EVN for energy efficiency started on 20.10.2009.

  Entertaining trainings are on "Energy and its efficient use''. financed by EVN Bulgaria and supported by the Ministry. In its base lies a traning program on energy efficiency carried out over 40 years in schools of the Republic of Austria.
